The World Youth Boxing Championship was held in Budva, Republic of Montenegro, on October 21 and November 3. 598 athletes from 73 countries took part in the world boxing match, which held competitive matches on the square. 5 Turkestan athletes took part in the national team, who won 1 gold and 3 bronze medals.
The masters of leather gloves of the Turkestan region, who won such prizes, returned to their homeland. They were greeted with respect and expressed gratitude to sports experts, relatives and friends. At the meeting, Almasbek Nakypbekov, Acting Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Turkestan region, congratulated our countrymen who returned from world competitions and wished them new achievements.
At the 67 kg World Youth Boxing Championship, Torekhan Sabyrkhan, who became the "best boxer", and his coach Iliyas Oralbekov thanked everyone present and shared their plans for the future. In the future, Torehan will take part in the national championship among adults in 67 kg. Previously, he was a 4-time Asian Junior champion and World Youth champion.
And in the women's duel, three beauties became bronze medalists. In particular, Bagzhan Otynbai in 52 kg, Aruzhan Zhanabayeva and Shugyla Nalibai in 63 kg won the bronze medal.
It should be noted that 25 boxers (13 men, 12 girls) participated in this championship for the national team of Kazakhstan. Following the results of the World Cup, 17 of our compatriots received prizes. So, 6 gold, 1 silver and 10 bronze. Thus, for the first time, the national team of Kazakhstan took the team first place at the World Youth Championship.
The winner of the World Championship Sabyrkhan Torekhan and bronze medalists Bagzhan Otynbai, Shugyla Nalibai are pupils of the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 5 of the Turkestan region, Aruzhan Zhanabayeva is a pupil of the Turkestan professional boxing club.
