In this issue, we talked with First Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Bolat Bekniyaz about the One Water Summit in Riyadh. The summit was chaired by Kazakhstan and France with the support of the World Bank and Saudi Arabia.
On the sidelines of the summit, Kazakhstan and France signed an agreement on joint work to preserve Lake Balkhash.
Also, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation signed a memorandum with the World Bank on the implementation of the second stage of the project for the conservation of the Northern Aral Sea and the restoration of the ecosystem of the Southern Aral Sea.
