Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to the French Republic began with a solemn welcoming ceremony.
The Head of state was greeted by President Emmanuel Macron to the fanfare of a military band. The national anthems of Kazakhstan and France were played.
The heads of state bypassed the guard of honor, consisting of soldiers of the Republican Guard, aerospace, land and naval forces. Upon completion of the tour, the guard of honor marched in front of the presidents.
Then there was a mutual presentation of the members of the official delegations and the guests of honor.
