To date, there are 188 schools in the capital with a total enrollment of 286 thousand children, as well as 32 colleges with 36,360 students, 13 additional education organizations and 16 special educational organizations.
"In the issue of protecting children's rights, we identify priority areas where effective measures are being taken. To date, all educational organizations in the city are connected to an automatic fire alarm system, as well as provided with digital video surveillance. Also, all cameras and alarm buttons are connected to the Central Control Center at the Astana Police Department," Serik Adylbayev informed.
This year, all educational facilities (schools, colleges, additional organizations) were equipped with modern turnstiles with a Face ID system.
At the same time, in all educational organizations, together with specialists of the city's Emergency Situations Department, training is conducted on an ongoing basis for all heads of institutions, regardless of the form of ownership, staff and students, in case of natural and man-made emergencies, as well as emergency training.
It is worth noting that prevention of suicidal behavior and bullying is actively conducted among minors in the capital.
"A separate "Psychological Support Center" has been created (at 13 Dostyk Avenue, Astana). He coordinates the activities of psychological services of educational organizations, provides methodological support to educational psychologists and conducts preventive and educational work with students, teachers and parents. From June 1 to October 30 of this year, the psychologists of the CCI conducted 602 individual consultations. In 5 districts of the city there are offices for providing free psychological and counseling assistance to students, parents and teachers (on the basis of the Central Research Center, residential complex "Nursaya-2", SHL No. 11, School No. 105, SHG No. 22, SHG No. 92, SHG 10). Since the beginning of the year, 362 children and 407 parents have received psychological consultations. In the current academic year, the number of psychologists in the city's schools has increased by 200 full-time units," said the deputy head of the Department of Education.
An anti-bullying program is being implemented in educational institutions of the city.
To do this, 5 schools are included in the pilot project (school No. 72 of Almaty district, school No. 16 of Baikonur district, school No. 79 of Nura district, school No. 24 of Yesil district, school No. 6 of Saryarka district).
Within the framework of this program, measures are being taken to prevent and reduce bullying (conducting lessons, thematic shifts, joint readings), to resolve identified cases of bullying. As well as training teachers in the skills of determining the degree of anxiety of students.
