A Roadmap for strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France in the field of critical resources and materials for 2024-2026 was signed at the Elysee Palace today.
The purpose of the Roadmap is to strengthen cooperation in areas such as creating sustainable supply chains, increasing their sustainability, research, education and ESG cooperation. The partnership includes projects for the exploration and extraction of raw materials, the processing of electronic scrap and magnets, the production of batteries and the transition to "green standards".
Joint investments in mining and metallurgical companies with the participation of the French Critical Metals Fund and the AFD are also planned.
The roadmap is aimed at developing the production and processing of critical raw materials, geological research and scientific developments.
