Akim of Aktobe region Askhat Shakharov reported to the President on the socio-economic development of the region.
According to the mayor, the economy grew by 6% in 11 months of this year. Industrial production increased by 4%, and the volume of foreign direct investment in the first six months of this year reached 175 million dollars.
The President was informed that a special economic zone will be created for the development of Aktobe Airport as a multimodal hub. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to attract more than 1.2 trillion tenge of investments and create 5,000 jobs.
The Governor of the region told the Head of State about the investment projects being implemented in the region and planned for 2025-2027.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also presented with models of new facilities under construction in Aktobe. On behalf of the President, a 700-seat drama theater and a multi-purpose stadium for 35,000 spectators will be built in the city.
