The master of leather gloves from Astana, Sanjar Tashkent, held a tense meeting with Uzbek opponent Shodierjon Melikuziev in the final bout in the weight up to 48 kg. Unfortunately, by the decision of the judges (1:4), Sanjar was defeated and received a silver medal.
21-year-old Sanjar Tashkent Bay became a two-time winner of the Asian Championship. He previously won the gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in Amman, Jordan.
