A student of the 2nd grade of the gymnasium 86 in Astana, Abdykaim Mukhammedgali, won a gold medal at the Asian Chess Championship in Thailand, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
Eight-year-old champion Abdykayim previously participated in the international chess tournament "Akbulak Open-2023", became a silver medalist three times, participated in the world championships.
