On the eve of the International Human Rights Day, the Public Foundation "Special Holidays", the intellectual club of lawyers and mediators QORGAU, together with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kazakhstan, organized an inclusive forum "Society for All" in Astana, the official sai of the capital's akimat reports.
The main purpose of the forum is to familiarize with programs in various fields aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
The discussions involve Kazakhstani and foreign experts in the field of protecting the rights of people with disabilities, as well as experts, scientists, representatives of government agencies and non-governmental organizations, psychologists, lawyers and mediators.
Special attention is paid to reforms in education, healthcare and the social sphere. The participants consider the protection of children's rights and the development of volunteer inclusive programs, discuss changes in the field of culture and sports aimed at integrating people with disabilities into public life, including the accessibility of housing for people with disabilities, improving the state program in this area and creating conditions for unhindered access to housing.
"This is the second year we have been holding an inclusive society forum. Society should be open and accessible to everyone, regardless of its characteristics. It is important that government programs actually reach people. Such events help to see what is happening in practice," said Botagoz Igenbayeva, President of the Special Holidays Public Foundation.
The organizers noted that the Society for All forum was an important step in the development of inclusive approaches. This event serves as an important platform for dialogue between the state and society and the search for solutions to integrate people with disabilities into various spheres of life.
