For the first time in history, the city of Saran in the Karaganda region began to generate significant tax revenues. This was made possible by the development of the Saran industrial zone. The experience will become an example for the development of other single-industry towns, Governor of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said at a briefing in the Central Communications Service.
– A successful case in the field of industrial renovation is Saran. I would like to note that with the support of the government, the city has become an example of economic diversification. It was excluded from the list of single-industry towns and for the first time in history began to generate significant tax revenues. Now 93.2% of industrial production is accounted for by the manufacturing sector. First of all, this became possible due to the development of the Saran industrial zone, where 9 projects worth 400 billion tenge are currently being implemented," Yermaganbet Bulekpayev said.
Of the implemented projects, he named the production of buses, car tires, and household appliances as the most striking.
– On behalf of the President, this experience is being implemented in other single–industry towns of our region – Temirtau, Balkhash, Shakhtinsk and Abai, - said the head of the region.
