In coordination with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and deputies of the district maslikhat, Serik Zhenisovich Zhenisov was appointed to the post of akim of the Samara region by the order of the Akim of the East Kazakhstan region.
He has extensive experience in the private sector and in public service. He began his career in 2005 in the Department of Internal Policy of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. Over the years, he held positions in the Department of Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption of East Kazakhstan region, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Policy of East Kazakhstan region, Chairman of the Board of Shygys Akparat LLP, Deputy Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Managing Director of Information and Analytical Center JSC Astana, Head of the office of the Akim of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Prior to his current appointment, he held the position of Head of the Department of Internal Policy of the East Kazakhstan region.
