The economy of the Karaganda region is developing steadily. Industrial production and investments are growing. Two new enterprises have been launched – for the production of polyethylene pipes and steel hot-water gas boilers. Eight more projects are expected to be launched. With the arrival of a new investor at Qarmet, the idle mines have been restored.
This was announced by the governor of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev at a briefing in the Central Communications Service. The head of the region spoke about the fulfillment of the instructions of the President of the country to improve the quality of life of the population.
– Since the beginning of the year, 679.1 billion tenge of investments have been invested in the region's economy – 14.6% more than the same period last year. Two new enterprises have appeared on the map of the region. By the end of the year, we will launch 8 more projects worth more than 200 billion tenge of investments, with the creation of 2,600 jobs. Among the major projects are plants for the production of copper and ferrosilicon," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
According to him, since the beginning of the year, the economy has grown by 13.1%.
The volume of industrial production exceeded 2.8 trillion tenge. The main part is accounted for by the manufacturing industry – 2.2 trillion tenge.
The governor of the region separately focused on the activities of the Qarmet company.
– As you know, at the largest enterprise in the region, Qarmet, last year, on behalf of the Head of State, the main investor was replaced and modernization began. The production of cast iron, armor and flat rolled products has increased at the metallurgical plant. At the time of the transfer to the new investor, there were only three mines out of eight in operation. There are currently seven mines in operation. The number of sinkholes has been increased from 11 to 45. This is a groundwork for the future, it will ensure the operation of mines for many years to come," stressed Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
A search and positioning system has been implemented for the safety of miners. Now she works at two mines – Kazakhstanskaya and Kuzembayev. And next year, all mines should be covered.
