IN ATYRAU, ABOUT 100 EXPERTS TOOK PART IN THE CREATION OF AN ATLAS OF NEW PROFESSIONS
Within the framework of the project "Development of the Atlas of new Professions and competencies of Atyrau region", implemented on the basis of Utebayev University using the Skills Technology Foresight method, about one hundred experts from local executive bodies, business and educational organizations participated in its development. They studied the domestic and international experience of personnel training in order to create regional standards and discussed staffing issues.
Applying the method of foresight forecasting in the labor market, the project experts determined the theoretical, methodological and scientific-methodological foundations for training specialists in accordance with modern requirements. Within the framework of the project, organizational and methodological support for the introduction of regional standards is of particular importance, as it contributes to the creation of a sustainable training system for the economy of Kazakhstan.
At the foresight session, an analysis of the needs for new professions was carried out, educational programs were developed and professional standards were updated. The work covered three key areas – transport and logistics, oil and gas and petrochemical industries, as well as education. The fundamental changes expected in these areas in the next 10-15 years and their political, technological and social consequences were discussed. Based on the results of the foresight, a working group consisting of employees of Utebayev University and Atyrau University plans to prepare articles, monographs and educational materials, said Akmaral Zhalgasbayeva, head of the regional office of the My Profession is My Future project.
The experts also paid special attention to the changes in professions in the field of logistics and transport in the next twenty years. A significant transformation of professional roles is expected due to automation, digitalization and environmental requirements. There is expected to be an increase in demand for specialists in the field of IT, robotics and sustainable development. This creates not only new opportunities, but also challenges that require flexibility and readiness for change. The companies participating in the project support initiatives for the development of vocational education and training of qualified personnel for the effective operation of various sectors of the economy.
