The 14th International Sports Film Festival in Iran has become an important milestone for Kazakh cinema. Ernar Nurgaliyev was recognized as the winner in the nomination "Best Director", and Erik Zholzhaksynov was awarded for "Best Supporting Actor".
"Alga" is a film about the strength of the spirit, brotherly love and the pursuit of a dream, despite all the trials that life throws at them. The film was shot with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Cinema Support Center. The producer is Maxim Akbarov, the director is Ernar Nurgaliyev.
