A reporting conference of the Weightlifting Federation was held with the participation of Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov. During the conference, plans and strategies for the development of the federation for the coming period were discussed.
Secretary General of the Kazakhstan Weightlifting Federation Madina Astamirova presented a report on the work done, noting a number of important achievements in the industry. She spoke about the victories of Kazakhstani athletes in the international arena, about the training of athletes, as well as about initiatives aimed at improving sports infrastructure.
At the conference, the president of the Kazakhstan Weightlifting Federation, Zhanat Tusipbekov, announced the early termination of his powers and proposed the candidacy of Haji Hajiyev for the post of president of the federation. The participants of the conference, including the leadership of regional federations and the sports community, unanimously supported the candidacy of Haji Hajiyev.
Minister Erbol Myrzabosynov thanked Zhanat Tusipbekov for his fruitful work as President of the Weightlifting Federation, which he headed for almost ten years, and wished good luck to the new president Haji Hajiyev.
"Weightlifting in our country is widely popular among the population. Kazakhstani athletes, achieving significant success in the international arena, make a significant contribution to the development and popularization of this sport. The sporting achievements of our national team in international arenas demonstrate the high potential of our athletes and the stable development of weightlifting in the country. On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, I express my sincere gratitude to Zhanat Tusipbekov for his invaluable contribution to the development of weightlifting in Kazakhstan. For more than ten years of his leadership, our athletes have achieved many outstanding successes. I also wish success to Haji Hajiyev, who was elected president of the Weightlifting Federation. I am sure that he will be able to return this sport to its former heights, and the tradition of comprehensive support for athletes will continue. Through joint efforts, we will reach new heights," said Erbol Myrzabosynov.
