Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev took part in the opening ceremony of school No. 66 in Taraz. The 1,200-seat educational facility was built on behalf of the Head of State within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School".
This is the second comfortable school that has opened in Zhambyl region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the head of the region noted that 12 comfortable schools are planned to be built in the region.
- In the region, on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, another school opened its doors within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School". In the new academic year, the same school appeared in the village of Sarykemer in the Bayzak district. By the end of the year, it is planned to open another comfortable school for 1,200 places.
The project is aimed at solving the issues of shortage of student places, liquidation of emergency schools and three-shift education. Our goal is to create modern, safe and convenient conditions for children's education," said Erbol Karashukeyev.
The new school, located in the Bayterek microdistrict, will have 1,485 students. It meets all modern requirements of comfort and safety. CCTV cameras and alarm buttons are installed.
There are 59 classrooms with interactive whiteboards, a dining room, 2 gyms, 2 language labs, 3 laboratory rooms, a library, workshops, and a coworking center. There are classrooms for additional education classes.
The facility is fully adapted for children with special educational needs.
- Today, a large and modern school has opened next to our house. We express our deep gratitude to the country's leadership for supporting such important projects," says Galiya Kulanbayeva, a mother with many children.
In 2024, funds were allocated for the construction of 41 educational facilities in the region. It is planned to complete 15 facilities by the end of the year. It is planned to start construction of 26 more educational facilities in 2025.
Work is underway to purchase 171 classrooms of a new modification, 3 STEM laboratories, 3 robotics classrooms.
