In the city of Turkestan, in the "House of Friendship", a meeting was held with the participation of members of the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
During the event, Deputy Akim of the Turkestan region Yertai Altaev awarded citizens who have made a significant contribution to maintaining harmony, developing spiritual culture and strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples.
During the event, Deputy Akim Yertai Kenzhebekuly expressed respect to the famous writer and literary critic Kulbek Ergobek, who was recently awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of literature and art named after Abai for 2024, conveying warm wishes on behalf of the akim of the region.
At the solemn meeting, Zhavlon Sabitov, a member of the APK, chairman of the Uzbek ethnocultural association of the Kazygurt district, was awarded the public medal of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Birlik". Letters of thanks from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were received by a member of the Mediation Council of the APK of Turkestan region, a professional mediator Zhuldyz Otegenova, as well as a member of the Council of Mothers of the APK of Turkestan region, chairman of the Council of Mothers of Zhetysai district Rakhila Basymbekova.
In addition, members of the Turkish ethnocultural association of Turkestan region Yasha Chilingarov and Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Uzbek Ethnocultural Association of Turkestan region Zupparkhan Chaldanov were awarded the medal "Veteran of Labor" by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Kyzmet" Beysenkul Narymbetova and the managing director of "Turkistan Media Holding" LLP, member of the Club of Journalists and bloggers of the APK of Turkestan region Telman Beisen received letters of thanks from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the meeting, the awardees expressed their willingness to continue to participate in the development of the country, strengthening peace and unity.
