The republican propaganda and preventive campaign "Muz-2024" continues in the regions. The rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations explain the Rules for safe stay on ice and ice fishing.
Employees of the Emergency Department of the Pavlodar region continue preventive measures to ensure the safety of citizens in reservoirs in winter and to prevent accidents at water bodies. During the raids, first of all, conversations are held with the population, fishermen, leaflets are handed over, and briefings on ice safety requirements are conducted. Persons who ignore these requirements and carry out unauthorized trips to the ice are brought to administrative responsibility. Water bodies are also monitored in the region, including using unmanned aerial vehicles.
"Since the beginning of the campaign, 475 raid events have been carried out by emergency personnel in the region, 1,498 people have been instructed, 1,547 memos have been distributed. 54 residents of the region who ignored safety requirements were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 412 of the Administrative Code," Rustambek Amrin, head of the Emergency Department of the Pavlodar region, informed.
Employees of the Emergency Department of Atyrau region, together with employees of the DP and volunteers, conducted a large-scale preventive event to prevent accidents in reservoirs. To date, ice formation is underway in the reservoirs of the region. During the preventive measures, rescuers instructed fishermen, owners of fishing shops, urged them not to risk their lives, to comply with safety rules on thin ice. During the campaign work, more than 70 people were informed.
The emergency department of the Abai region conducts preventive raids throughout the region. During the events, citizens are informed about safety measures in reservoirs, especially on thin ice. Work is also underway to identify violators of the rules of behavior on the water. These events will be held regularly until the end of the winter-spring period.
The staff of the Emergency Department of Shymkent carried out preventive work to comply with the rules of conduct in reservoirs during winter fishing. Together with the competent state authorities, more than 100 patrols and raids were conducted, 145 briefings with the involvement of volunteers with the distribution of campaign materials in the amount of 9,500 pieces. Work in this direction will be carried out in an enhanced mode on weekends and holidays.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations tirelessly reminds that the safe thickness of ice for one person is at least 10 centimeters, while at night, with poor visibility and during freezing and ice melting, access to the ice is strictly prohibited! When on ice, it is not allowed:
1) go out on thin and fragile areas of ice;
2) gather in groups on separate (dangerous) sections of ice;
3) approach gullies, cracks, ice holes;
4) to drive vehicles on the ice outside the boundaries of the places designated for crossings;
5) making a fire;
6) punch two holes at a distance of less than 20 centimeters, and pairs of holes at a distance of less than 2 meters from another pair of holes;
7) leave gear and debris on the ice.
