On December 12, 2024, environmental events of various directions were held in all regions of the Ulytau region within the framework of the national environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan". The main purpose of the events is to maintain the cleanliness of the environment, increase the ecological awareness of residents and promote concern for nature.
Open lessons and class hours on environmental topics such as Taza Kazakhstan", "Menin taza kalam", "Tabigatty ayalayyk!" were organized in educational organizations of all cities and districts of the region. The importance of caring for the environment and the need to protect nature is explained to students.
"Our school has a long tradition of holding open lessons, class hours, which are aimed at environmental education. Therefore, since the beginning of the Taza Kazakhstan program, this work has intensified even more. During such events, we try to instill in students a good attitude towards the environment, nature, and animals," says Akzharkyn Tokisheva, a teacher at Zhezkazgan Secondary School No. 1.
In order to improve the environmental literacy of the population, young people and volunteers from Zhanaarkinsky and Ulytau districts distributed brochures and booklets to residents. They gave residents tips on recycling, saving energy and water, conserving natural resources and preventing litter in public places.
In addition, the youth of the Zhanaarkinsky district, as part of the Ardagym-Ardagerim campaign, cleared the yards of the houses of veterans and the elderly from snow, and therefore received gratitude from the elders.
Since the beginning of Taza Kazakhstan, a total of more than 148 thousand people, 1317 teams have participated in environmental actions. 1,972 units of specialized equipment were also involved, as a result, 3,457 tons of garbage were removed, 264 enterprises and 224 social facilities were involved.
