The national company KazAvtoZhol, as part of the execution of the instruction of the Head of State in the Aktobe region, completed the main work on the reconstruction of the Aktobe – Kandyagash highway of republican significance with a length of 96 km. A four-lane highway has been introduced on the road section.
The total length of highways in Aktobe region is 1,869 km. Of these, 117 km have been reconstructed in recent years, and 280 km have undergone average repairs. The main attention is paid to the development of the Aktobe – Kandyagash transport corridor, which is part of the Aktobe – Atyrau– gr. RF highway (to Astrakhan) of republican significance. This corridor is a key route, strategically important both for the region and for the whole country. It connects the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Russian Federation, providing access to Astrakhan.
