Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's working trip to the Zhetisu region began with a visit to the ASMA INDUSTRIAL industrial battery production plant located in the Taldykorgan industrial zone.
The project worth 8.5 billion tenge was repaired and modernized last year. Electric equipment has been installed with budgetary funds, sewerage and gas supply lines have been brought in. The enterprise with an area of 14.3 hectares was launched on December 6 this year.
The founder and director of the plant, Serikbai Azhmagambetov, told the President about industrial batteries that are used in the oil and gas, mining, telecommunications and railway industries, as well as as a source of uninterrupted energy in the "green" energy sector.
According to the Head of State, when reaching full capacity, the company plans to produce 210 thousand batteries per year with the creation of up to 180 jobs. 60% of the products will be exported to the CIS and Baltic countries, 40% will be supplied to the domestic market. It is expected that in the first year after the launch, the plant will pay over 500 million tenge of taxes to the budget.
The bulk of the necessary raw materials will be purchased from enterprises in Kazakhstan, in particular, lead from Kazzink, sulfuric acid from Kazatomprom, and separator and polypropylene from Chinese manufacturers.
In an interview with the labor collective, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the important role of supporting the production sector.
– In order for the state to be strong, first of all, our regions must be strong. We consider it important to transform Kazakhstan into a country with a developed industry. Much attention is paid to the area of Getisu, which is of strategic importance," the President said.
Then the Head of State held a meeting with the heads of enterprises. He called the support of domestic business one of the main directions of state policy.
