A ceremony of awarding badges to holders of the title "Honorary Citizen of the Abai region" was held in the Abai region. Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev personally noted the merits of the residents who made a significant contribution to the development of the region and solemnly presented them with badges.
"This title is a symbol of deep respect and appreciation to those who have made a significant contribution to the development of our region, served the people with dedication and honor, earned the gratitude and recognition of their fellow countrymen. These people are the pride of our region, an example of hard work, courage and dedication. Each of them left their bright mark in the history of the region, contributed to the development of various fields: from science and culture to sports, economics and public life. Their names are known not only in our region, but also beyond its borders," the governor of the region said.
The title of "Honorary citizen of the Abai region" was awarded:
1. People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the medal "Kazakhstan Enbek Yeri" Roza Kuanyshevna Rymbaeva;
2. Editor-in-chief of the magazines "Vestnik" and "Man. Energy. Atom", Chairman of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Gadletovich Batyrbekov;
3. Doctor of Philology, Professor, "Excellent student of National Education of the Kazakh SSR", "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arap Slamovich Espenbetov;
4. Member of the Board of Directors of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" Alexander Alexandrovich Milyutin;
5. The head of the farm "Zaitenov" Yerlan Amirbekovich Zaitenov.
Recall that the badge has a special meaning. The white color on it reflects purity, justice and infinity. Blue is a symbol of peace, tranquility and kindness. The golden color represents wealth and greatness. The outline of the Abai region is depicted in the center of the sign, surrounded by seven faces, each of which symbolizes the key directions of its development: culture, art, education, science, production, innovation and other areas.
