In order to meet the increased passenger demand, the number of railway trains and flights will increase on the line from December 13, 2024 to January 9, 2025.
Railway transport:
On the eve of Kazakhstan's Independence Day and New Year, the National Carrier is launching additional trains running in various directions. These trains will carry an additional 43 thousand passengers. Additional flights will be organized to the following destinations:
Train No.201/202 "Astana-Almaty":
— from Astana 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28 December of the current year, as well as January 1 and 4, 2025.
— from Almaty 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29 December of the current year, as well as January 2 and 5, 2025.
Train No. 203/204 "Astana-Shymkent":
— from Astana 13, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29 December 2024, as well as January 1 and 4, 2025.
— from Shymkent 14, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30 December 2024 and January 2, 5, 2025.
Train No.205/206 Aktobe-Astana:
— from Aktobe 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28 December of the current year, as well as January 1 and 4, 2025.
— there will be a departure from Astana 14, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30 December of this year and January 3-6, 2025.
In addition, 688 additional carriages will be added to passenger trains during the holidays, especially in the areas with the highest demand. The trains will consist of standard compartment and second-class carriages.
Additional wagons by region:
Northern region: 279 wagons – 12,188 additional seats.
Western region: 298 wagons – 12,824 additional seats.
Southern region: 96 wagons – 4,256 additional seats.
From December 13, 2024, 3 additional electric trains of 6 cars will be launched in the suburban direction, providing 1,123 additional seats:
No.7515/7516 "Astana – Burabai Resort" will run daily (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
No.7553/6811–6812/7556 "Karaganda-Astana-Borovoe Resort" will run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
No. 7509/6805–6806/7510 "Pavlodar-Astana-Borovoye Resort" will run twice a week: on Fridays and Sundays.
Additional trains will significantly increase the number of available seats and ensure comfortable travel for all passengers.Tickets are available on the bilet.railways website.kz and at the ticket offices of train stations. Prices for railway tickets will remain at the same level, there will be no tariff increases.
Air transportation:
In order to meet passenger demand for air transportation, Kazakh airlines have worked out the issue of increasing the number of flights on holidays and holidays. So, to date, 91 additional flights have been added, of which:
SCAT Airlines added 39 flights:
- on the routes Astana – Almaty - Astana + 16 flights,
- Almaty – Shymkent + 10 flights;
- Almaty – Moscow +7 flights;
- Almaty – Zhezkazgan + 2 flights;
- Almaty – Aktobe + 2 flights;
- Astana – Shymkent + 1 flight;
- Almaty – Ust-Kamenogorsk +1 flight.
Air Astana added 10 flights:
- Astana – Almaty + 10 flights;
* The issue of increasing flights to other destinations is also being worked out.
FlyArystan Airlines added 39 flights:
- Astana – Almaty + 9 flights;
- Almaty – Shymkent + 3 flights;
- Astana – Shymkent +3 flights;
- Almaty – Pavlodar +3 flights;
- Almaty – Aktobe +2 flights;
- Almaty – Atyrau +2 flights;
- Almaty – Uralsk +2 flights;
- Astana – Kostanay +2 flights;
- Astana – Uralsk +2 flights;
- Astana – Atyrau +2 flights;
- Astana – Kyzylorda +2 flights;
- Astana – Turkestan +2 flights;
- Aktau – Atyrau +2 flights;
- Almaty – Kyzylorda +1 flight;
- Almaty – Kostanay +1 flight;
- Almaty – Karaganda +1 flight;
- Astana – Aktobe +1 flight;
Qazaq Air added 3 flights:
- Astana – Aktobe – Astana +1 flight;
- Astana – Shymkent – Astana +1 flight;
- Astana – Kyzylorda – Astana +1 flight.
There are no plans to increase tariffs for domestic destinations, and air ticket prices have remained at the same level.The cost of air tickets may vary based on market factors (purchase of a ticket for a certain period before departure, etc.).
Airlines will continue to work on increasing flights during the holidays, taking into account technical capabilities.
