In the Turkestan region, the priority is to open production facilities and attract investment. On behalf of the akim of the region, akims of districts and cities visited foreign enterprises and established business ties. In addition, an international investment forum was held in Turkestan. What results have been achieved within the framework of these activities? What are your plans for the future? These issues were discussed at a meeting in the akimat of the region. Akim of the region Darkhan Satybaldy instructed the responsible heads and akims of districts and cities to intensify their work.
"The construction of infrastructure and facilities at the expense of the budget will continue, but we must keep the problem of employment of the population in the first place. Step up your efforts to attract investments. Managers who have returned from foreign business trips must achieve concrete results. Implement the negotiations, increase the number of investment projects," Darkhan Satybaldy said, warning that appropriate measures will be taken against ineffective akims and deputies.
At the meeting, Deputy Akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kosherov presented a report on the work done to attract investments. He spoke about the results of the investment forum in Turkestan and business trips to China and South Korea.
This year, Turkestan hosted the international forum TURKISTAN INVESTMENT & TOURISM FORUM. The forum was attended by 1,729 people and 127 companies. Within the framework of the forum, 35 memoranda were signed for a total amount of 301.4 billion tenge.
The delegation of the Turkestan region visited several regions of the Republic of Korea, where negotiations were held with officials. The delegation also took part in the Central Asia– Republic of Korea Forum, as well as in a business seminar organized by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). G2B and B2B meetings were held within the framework of the forum, where specific projects and opportunities for cooperation were discussed.
The trip continued in several major cities and regions of China, where representatives of the Turkestan region took part in the CISCE international exhibition on the theme "Connecting the World for a shared Future". Negotiations were held with Chinese investors. Work in this direction will continue.
It should be noted that for 11 months of this year, 1,064.7 billion tenge of investments were attracted to the economy of the region, which is 25.5% more compared to the same period last year. Foreign direct investment amounted to 685 million US dollars, which is 1.5 times higher than the annual plan. This year, it is planned to implement 56 investment projects worth 134.1 billion tenge, of which 41 projects have already been launched, which allowed creating 1,659 new jobs.
