The results of the republican project competition on the topic "Ways to solve corruption problems in the areas included in the map of corruption risks of the Turkestan region" were summed up in the House of Friendship of the city of Turkestan. The event was attended by Murat Toleubayev, head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency for the Turkestan region, and Yertai Altaev, Deputy akim of the region.
The purpose of the competition is to promote the principle of "Law and Order", develop the ideology of integrity, involve civil society in anti–corruption activities, search for promising projects in this area and support civil initiatives.
The competition, announced to search for promising anti-corruption projects, received more than 90 applications from cities of national importance and regions. 10 best works were selected from them, the authors of which presented their projects. A commission consisting of members of the public determined the winners. The authors of the 4 best projects received funding in the amount of 725 thousand tenge each. Among the winners: the project "Introduction of QR code" by Umida Nurmakhanova from Turkestan, the project "Dauys" by Alikhan Abdikerov from Almaty, the project "Fisheries" by Sergey Efremov from Shymkent and the project "Sanaly Ai" by Saltanat Kuanysh from Astana.
