Today at 08:00, Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev held an operational headquarters on the situation in the region. The head of the Emergency Department of the Karaganda region, Margulan Amanbayev, reported that due to strong winds in some areas there are cases of roofs being torn off, power lines being cut off.
On November 6-7, 9 cases of roof failure were recorded in the territory of the Karaganda region as a result of heavy winds – more than 20 m/s.
There are no casualties, and a commission examination will be conducted in all cases.
Due to the deterioration of weather conditions – a blizzard, squally strong winds up to 30 meters per second – power outages are recorded in some settlements of the Karaganda region.
Repair and restoration teams are currently working to eliminate outages, most of them have already been eliminated.
The life support facilities of the region are operating normally. At the meeting, the akimats reported that everything will be restored. The power supply situation is under control.
