The relay started on September 30 in Almaty and covered approximately 800 kilometers through the Zhambyl region to Shymkent. Along the route, numerous cleanup and landscaping events were organized, as well as meetings with the public to explain the importance of proper waste disposal and environmental stewardship. Over the first three days, more than 600 activists participated, and over 90 tons of waste were collected. This clearly demonstrates the high level of environmental activism among the population and the willingness of young people to actively participate in improving the environmental situation. A unique feature of the relay was that it wasn't limited to just garbage collection. The organizers held public receptions and meetings with citizens, where participants could freely exchange views on environmental issues and solutions. Furthermore, the relay participants stopped at historical and cultural sites to simultaneously improve them. For example, the grounds of the Aktyrtas complex and the Sauran Fortress were cleaned and tidied up, which not only improved the environmental situation but also preserved their cultural heritage. Upon arrival in Shymkent, the relay was greeted with great enthusiasm by local youth. Students and volunteers actively participated in cleaning the area, planting flowers, and sorting trash. Additionally, special environmental activities were organized for young people as part of the relay. For example, the "Recycle Your Trash - Get a Gift" campaign helped promote the culture of separate collection and recycling of household waste. This initiative helped foster environmental responsibility and skills in young people to care for the environment. The eco-activities included eco-quizzes and workshops on making crafts from recycled materials. Participants were divided into groups and learned the proper methods for sorting plastic, paper, and other waste, as well as how to recycle them effectively. These activities allowed them to practice their acquired knowledge and developed skills in the rational and careful use of resources. A flower planting workshop was also held. Gardeners Dasik_begonia and Gulhome.Store2 participated, demonstrating the proper planting and care techniques. Overall, the national Road Relay, which started in Almaty and ended in Shymkent, allowed for a number of events to be held across the country. Meetings with residents were held at each section of the route, explaining the importance of environmental protection and fostering environmental awareness. These events helped reinforce practical skills in environmentally friendly behavior and instilled a sense of responsibility for the environment. The relay's main goal was to foster environmental awareness among young people and city residents, instill a habit of caring for the cleanliness and well-being of urban areas, and engage the public in joint environmental protection efforts. During the events, participants gained knowledge and practical skills that will serve as the foundation for future conservation efforts and fostering a responsible attitude toward the environment in society.
