In honor of the 95th anniversary of the academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after J. Shanin, the IX International Theater Festival of Theaters of Central Asian countries has started in Shymkent.
The festival of arts was attended by theater groups from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Karakalpakstan, Tatarstan, and Azerbaijan. Before the solemn event, well-known persons of the country and experts from near and far abroad held meetings with journalists.
The solemn meeting began with a video prepared for the 95th anniversary of the Zh theater. Shanina. Akim of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov took part in the opening ceremony of the festival.
- The Head of State noted that culture and art are the most important sphere in human life. Art is the soul of a nation, and culture is its spiritual face. We can say that this is the core of our national values. And it is our common duty to preserve and enrich it. The Shanin Theatre, which has gone through various stages of development over its 95-year history, is now becoming the spiritual center of our city. I believe that the contribution of our compatriots to the theatrical art is significant," the akim of Shymkent said.
The Theater of J. Shanina always delighted his audience with high-quality productions, staged masterpieces of classical and modern Kazakh drama, glorified national values. Outstanding directors and actors shone on the stage of the theater, new talents were discovered. The role of this theater in the development of Kazakh art and culture is huge.
Playwright Saya Kassymbek told the audience that the Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Shanin was opened in Shymkent in 1929.
- And this theater did not appear out of nowhere. An outstanding writer, playwright Zhusipbek Aimautov opened a drama club, trained and trained professional theater specialists, and made a great contribution to the development of theatrical art in Shymkent. Such great personalities as Khadisha Bokeeva, Amina Umirzakova performed in this theater," said Saya Kassymbek.
At the festival of art, bright, original, colorful, theatrical figures who worked hard in the field of art were awarded. Letters of thanks and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the akim of Shymkent were presented on the stage of the Shymkent city Academic Kazakh Drama Theater named after Zhumat Shanin.
Hundreds of performances have been staged here. Many famous actors and directors, famous not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad, began their careers here. This year, 18 young actors joined the troupe.
There are 88 people in the creative team, 55 of them are actors.
Recall that famous theaters from near and far abroad will take part in this event, 10 theaters will show their art. In addition, "master classes" are held within the framework of the festival in order to increase the creative potential and professional level of theater specialists. It should be noted that the festival will last until November 11. Various theaters will present 9 performances in it.
