The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erbol Myrzabosynov, held a meeting with the champions and prize—winners of the World Wrestling Championship, held in the capital of Albania, Tirana. The Head of the department congratulated and awarded Kazakhstani athletes for their outstanding achievements, emphasizing the importance of their victories for the country and the younger generation.
Erbol Myrzabosynov emphasized the steady progress that the national wrestling team has demonstrated in the international arena in recent years. He noted the importance of the victories won by Kazakhstani athletes at the World Championship among adults and youth under 23. High professionalism and dedication allowed the domestic athletes to win two gold and two silver medals, thereby strengthening the prestige of Kazakhstan on the world stage.
"Our athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and perseverance, conquering the world at the championship in Albania. This victory inspires not only athletes, but also the entire people of Kazakhstan. Your achievements are a worthy example for young people, a symbol of true patriotism and striving for high goals. I would especially like to note the success of Nurkozha Kaipanov, who won the gold medal, as well as silver medalists Yerzhet Zharlykasyn and Zhamili Bakbergenova, who confirmed the high sports level. Rizabek Aitmukhan, who became a world champion in two age categories and set a record in his weight, deserves special recognition. I am sure that his achievements will pave the way for a successful performance at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles," said Minister Erbol Myrzabosynov.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister awarded Rizabek Aitmukhan and Yerzhet Zharlykasyn the title of "Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and presented letters of thanks to the athletes and coaching staff, noting their significant contribution to the development of domestic sports and strengthening the country's sports image.
