The delegation of the Abai region arrived in Kazan on a working visit within the framework of the "Days of Culture of the Abai region in the Republic of Tatarstan". During the trip, Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhaev met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Minnikhanov. The main goal is to strengthen ties between the two regions, expand partnerships, and develop cooperation in the field of culture.
Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan covers a wide range of issues and covers both economic and cultural spheres. The expansion of partnership initiatives contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations.
Cultural cooperation, as the parties stressed, is an integral part of interregional relations. The Tatar School of Arts is successfully operating in Semey, as well as a monument to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai and a bust of the national hero Musa Jalil. In Kazan, in turn, a bust of Abai Kunanbayev, an outstanding Kazakh thinker, poet and public figure, has been installed. In addition, sabantuy is celebrated annually on a large scale in the regional center of the region. The main Tatar holiday is attended by thousands of citizens.
