The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is strengthening cooperation with government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the investigation of accidents in transport

In the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the chairmanship of the Director of the Department for Investigation of Accidents and Incidents in Transport (hereinafter referred to as the Department) Malaeva N.S. a meeting was held on the issues of interaction between the state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the investigation of accidents in air, rail and water transport. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Main Transport Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to issues related to determining the direction of work of each government agency, in order to determine their role and actions during the investigation. The parties voiced the importance of prompt response, comprehensive assistance and impartiality in the investigation of the transport accident to determine the causes.
As part of improving the quality and close cooperation of government agencies in conducting an investigation of a transport accident, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation, which includes work on amending legislation in accordance with international standards, signing an agreement between government agencies, developing joint technologies, and conducting joint exercises.
The Department notes that the sole purpose of investigating accidents in air, rail and water transport is to establish the causes of the event and (or) related factors, as well as to develop recommendations for preventing accidents in transport in the future and ensuring safety.
