QazTrade JSC hosted an information briefing on the development of the Middle Corridor for a parliamentary delegation of the British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The delegation was led by Tan Dhesi MP, Chair of the House of Commons Defence Committee, and also included Members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords of the UK Parliament.

Nurlan Kulbatyrov, Director General of QazTrade JSC, presented the current state of the Middle Corridor and its prospects as a key trade route not only for Kazakhstan but for Central Asia as a whole.

Madina Anet, Business Development Director at SEMURG INVEST LLP, presented Semurg's infrastructure at the Port of Kuryk on the Caspian Sea. The development of the Sarzha multipurpose marine terminal cluster envisages up to 5 million tonnes of annual throughput capacity, including container capacity of up to 110,000 TEU per year.

Jalil Bulatov, National Coordinator of the International Trade Centre (ITC), spoke about EU-supported projects being implemented in the region under the Global Gateway initiative.
