Municipal services of the city continue to work in an enhanced round-the-clock shift mode. Snow removal works are carried out smoothly, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
About 200 road workers and over 300 units of special equipment went out on the night shift on November 7 to clean the streets of the city from snow.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow – squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
According to Kazhydromet RSE, November 8 in Astana is partly cloudy, sometimes snow, blizzard. The wind is southwesterly 9-14, gusts 15-20 m/s.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety rules, and refrain from long-distance trips in case of a storm warning.
