Aktau city was declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2025. During the year, the Mangystau regional center will be under special attention from all over the world. This was announced at a press conference in the CCS by Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai.

Various events will be organized in the region to demonstrate fraternal ties and friendship between the Turkic-speaking peoples, pass on Turkic culture and art from generation to generation, and introduce them to the world.

For example, concerts of classical and folk music, exhibitions of photographs, festivals of theater troupes, musical and dance groups, as well as other representatives of the art of the Turkic world are planned in Aktau.
The Year of Culture will open in March with a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Culture of the member countries of the TURKSOY organization and a gala concert of the stars of the Turkic countries.

"Becoming the cultural capital of the Turkic world will not only introduce the world to our national traditions and folk art, but will also have a positive impact on increasing the tourism potential of the region and improving the well-being of residents of Mangystau region," said the head of the region, Nurdaulet Kilybai.
