In the first half of 2024, about 250 thousand tourists from the regions of Kazakhstan and foreign countries visited Mangystau. This is a 30% increase compared to last year. The volume of services rendered in the field of tourism increased by 40% and amounted to 6.6 billion tenge. This was announced by Akim of the region Nurdaulet Kilybai at a briefing in the CCS.

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reviewed the general plan of Aktau city and instructed to implement investment projects in the area of the "Warm Beach". As part of this task, the general plan of the regional center has been developed, and 11 projects with an investment value of 100 billion tenge are planned to be implemented in the region by 2027. This year, 3 projects worth 8.5 billion tenge have been launched.

"In accordance with the instructions of the President, the general plan of the Kenderli resort area has been developed. A tourist city capable of hosting up to 300,000 people per year will be built in this region. The construction of engineering infrastructure has begun. The implementation of the project will provide employment for residents of Zhanaozen and reduce the main burden," said Nurdaulet Kilybai.

Also next year, Cape "Zhylandy" in the Mangystau region will be improved as a tourist destination, and a visitor center will be built near the Beket Ata road.
