The winner of the First City military-patriotic competition was determined in Astana

The Military History Museum of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan acted as the organizer of the competition "Tawelsiz eldin kyrandary".
The event was attended by students of the Higher College of the Eurasian Humanitarian Institute, Technical College of Astana, Shipager Medical College, Astana IT University College, Construction and Technical College, Pedagogical College of Astana International University.
– Students and teachers of primary military training from the capital's colleges were invited to participate in the military-patriotic competition. The main purpose of the event is to preserve the historical heritage and continuity of generations, perpetuate the memory of fallen soldiers, and form a respectful attitude towards defenders of the Motherland and veterans," said Major Daulet Kadyrov, Deputy Head of the National Military–Patriotic Center and head of the Military Historical Museum.
The game consisted of five rounds. The jury took into account the appearance, greeting and marching skills. The speed of incomplete disassembly and assembly of the AK-74 assault rifle and putting on a respirator gas mask were also assessed. During the quiz "I am a defender of the Motherland", the contestants showed off their knowledge of the military history of Kazakhstan and the Armed Forces.
The jury evaluated not only the technical skills and knowledge of the history of the students, but also their acting skills, which they showed by performing military-themed musical numbers.
The team of the Pedagogical College of the Astana International University became the winner of the Cup of the Military Historical Museum. The second place was awarded to students of Astana IT University College, the third place was shared by the teams of Shipager Construction, Technical and Medical College.
The event ended with a festive concert by the Central Ensemble of the National Military-Patriotic Center.
