Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zharasbayev held a reporting meeting with residents of Pavlodar region. The meeting was attended by representatives of local executive bodies, public activists, athletes, coaches, media representatives and others.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister reported on the main initiatives of the Ministry in the field of tourism and sports, as well as on the updated draft law "On Physical Culture and Sports".
Serik Zharasbayev noted that the new draft law, adopted in the first reading by the Mazhilis, introduced important changes aimed at developing children's and mass sports, increasing transparency of financing and strengthening the role of national sports.
<block quote>"An open and fair allocation of resources in the field of sports is the basis for educating a new generation of champions and creating favorable conditions for all citizens of the country," he said.
During the meeting, it was noted that in 2025 it is planned to introduce a pilot project of per capita financing in sports schools. The meeting participants expressed interest in new ways to develop the region's sports infrastructure.
Serik Zharasbayev said that there are 24 youth sports schools in Pavlodar region, where 24,356 students train, and the ministry continues to introduce a digital platform for physical education and sports (Esports). This platform will be an important step in the modernization of the industry.
<block quote>"Every region, every sports school should become an interesting center for children and youth. Our task is to make sports accessible and attractive, as well as create conditions for the full development of everyone's sporting potential," Serik Zharasbayev said.
After the reporting meeting, the Deputy Minister personally received the citizens, answered their questions, listened to their concerns and suggestions. He also visited a number of sports facilities in the region and got acquainted with the work process.
