Preparing for winter: Vice Minister of Emergency Situations visited East Kazakhstan Region

Vice Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kegen Tursynbayev arrived in the East Kazakhstan region on a working visit. As part of the trip, he visited the second rescue battalion of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located in Ust-Kamenogorsk, where he got acquainted with the conditions of service of rescuers and military personnel. He also assessed the technical condition of the equipment used by rescuers and talked with the personnel, learning about current tasks and problems.
In addition, the Vice Minister held a working meeting at the Department of Emergency Situations of the East Kazakhstan region. The event was also attended by Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Bakytzhan Bayakhmetov. During the meeting, key issues related to the readiness of the civil protection services of the region for the winter period, the passage of the heating season and ensuring seismic safety were discussed. Special attention was paid to measures aimed at flood prevention and timely implementation of preventive measures.
The Vice Minister stressed the importance of early implementation of preventive measures to improve the security level of the region:
"The early implementation of preventive measures will increase the level of protection from emergencies. We should not wait for disasters, but should take all measures to prevent them. The safety of citizens is our main task," he said in his speech.
During the working trip, the Vice Minister will also visit flood-prone areas of the region to assess preparedness for possible emergencies during the spring flood
