"The Center for religious studies organized a public awareness campaign" "Open Square" "in the shopping and entertainment center ""Khan Shatyr"", the official website of the capital's mayor's office reports."
The action, organized by the Office for Religious Affairs of the mayor's Office of Astana, was held as part of the implementation of the national security strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2025, as well as the Comprehensive Plan for the development of the state system for countering extremism and terrorism for 2023-2025.
"This campaign is held for the third time. "Earlier, this project was held in the trading house" "Aruzhan"", on the territory of ""Astana market "" and was very popular." Today we are holding it in the Khan Shatyr shopping center. The main goal is to awaken patriotic feelings of the younger generation through the organization of quiz questions on the issues of traditions, national values, history of the country and religion.
In addition, videos about the Prevention of religious movements and their signs were shown throughout the day. Also, together with volunteers, we distributed special information booklets related to the religious sphere to about three thousand residents of the capital. We will also reward volunteers who took an active part in this event," said Nursultan Zhanshin, head of the Department of the Center for the study of Religions.
According to the organizers, this campaign will continue next year.
