Within the framework of the ASTANA Zhas Zhiger project, Astana organized a number of diverse events for young people of the NEET category. In particular, football, volleyball and basketball tournaments were held, the official website of the city akimat reports.
The project was organized by the Department of Youth Policy and the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource Center. It is aimed at the socialization and development of youth.
A football tournament, volleyball and basketball competitions were organized for young people. In addition, explanatory events were held here with the participation of sociologists and psychologists from specialized schools for difficult teenagers and young people who are registered.
Asel Bolatkyzy, Head of the NEET Youth Department, said that the participation of NEET youth in such sports competitions and socio-cultural events provides them with the opportunity to interact with other people, expand their social network and form friendships.
"Such events represent a positive and healthy alternative to spending free time, distracting them from negative behavioral patterns and attracting them to a healthy lifestyle," Assel Bolatkyzy noted.
During the event, the winners of the project and the final football tournament were awarded at the ALAMAN Academy of Sports and Art.
"The tournament is going great, everything is organized in an interesting way. Our team has reached the final. We participate in such tournaments every year and we believe that such sporting events have a very positive impact on the younger generation. I would like them to be held more often," Yerbolat Saparov, a participant in the football tournament, shared his impressions.
