In Kazan, in the Literary Museum of Gabdulla Tukai, the Regional Universal Library named after Abai from Semey presents the exhibition "Book masterpieces – a valuable heritage". The exposition allows residents and guests of the capital of Tatarstan to get acquainted with unique publications from the rare collection of the Abai Library, which reflect the richness and diversity of literary heritage.
The exhibition is divided into two thematic sections: "Spiritual heritage in harmony of centuries" and "Book rarities published in Kazan". The first section, "Abai on the pages of rare editions", offers visitors a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the works dedicated to Abai Kunanbayev, as well as books that spiritually nourished the great Kazakh thinker. The section includes works that inspired and accompanied Abai on his life path, preserving the heritage and wisdom that has survived the centuries.
The second section, "Book rarities published in Kazan", is dedicated to rare books of the early twentieth century, published in Kazan and now carefully stored in the collections of the Abai Library. Among the exhibits are publications on the history of Russia and Tatarstan, educational and medical books, as well as fiction published at that time.
These books, printed using Arabic graphics and Latin script, represent unique evidence of cultural exchange and historical heritage.
