A job fair for young people was held in the capital's Esil University. The organizers were the city Department for Youth Policy, the Astana Zhastary MRC together with the city Center for Labor Mobility and the university, the official website of the Mayor's Office of the capital reports.
The purpose of the fair is to facilitate the employment of graduates of educational institutions, as well as unemployed young people through direct contact between the employer and the applicant.
"About 500 people attended the fair, mostly students of 3-4 courses who will soon become certified specialists and need employment. More than 50 organizations – government agencies and commercial enterprises - presented their vacancies here. We regularly organize such events. This is the fifth fair this year. By the end of the year, we plan to hold another fair, which will be held at the Eurasian University," said Assel Bolatkyzy, head of the Department for Youth Work of the NEET category of the Astana Zhastary MRC.
The students noted the effectiveness of job fairs, which help them in future employment.
"I am a fourth-year student majoring in Accounting and Auditing, and I am going to become an accountant. I already have experience working as an accountant's assistant. The release is coming soon, there is a reason to think about the future. The fair is a good chance to find a decent job, it is also important that there is a choice here," one of the students of the capital's university shared his impressions.
