Active work is underway in the capital to combat and prevent vandalism. Law enforcement agencies have identified a couple more cases of vandalism and have taken appropriate measures against violators, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
At about 9 a.m. on October 31, a 26-year-old man deliberately broke an office window, thereby causing material damage to private property.
A similar incident occurred on the evening of October 30th. The young man broke the glass and mirror of someone else's car.
All violators were brought to administrative responsibility.
Since the beginning of the year, preventive work has been carried out in Astana as part of the Stop Vandal campaign, which was supported by volunteers, activists, famous athletes, and residents of the city.
The purpose of the action is to stop any manifestations of vandalism and preserve cleanliness and order in the capital.
Since the beginning of the year, the court has already punished about 270 people for intentional damage to other people's property, pollution of public areas, damage to buildings and residential premises. All of them were brought to justice.
Vandalism prevention is carried out in coordination with the City Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department.
