On October 24, a meeting of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ye.Nysanbayeva with the Coordinator of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mrs. Khurshid Alam.
At the meeting, the Minister noted the current cooperation in the field of climate change and forecasting of natural disasters. The Kazakh side also informed about the development of a new Nationally Determined Contribution (ONUV), attraction of international financing and implementation of investment projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions. The importance of joint work on the eve of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) was emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of forecasting and prevention of natural disasters and expressed readiness for further bilateral cooperation on these issues.
