During a working trip to the Turkestan region, Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov got acquainted with the implementation of investment projects and the activities of agro-industrial enterprises in the region.
The Minister visited a number of enterprises, including the modern greenhouse complex "KH Adela", with a capacity of 6,000 tons of vegetables per year.
The cost of the project is 5.1 billion tenge. The complex is equipped with automated equipment from the French company RISHEL. The products are sold in the domestic and foreign markets.
In the next 5 years, it is planned to increase the area of fields with water-saving technologies to 216 thousand hectares in the region. To increase the availability of irrigation technologies, 3 local enterprises have been launched: BNK Group, Turan Su.
Every year, local farmers sow up to 100 thousand hectares of cotton crops, this year more than 300 thousand tons of products have been harvested.
During his visit to Turkestan Cotton Agro-Industrial Complex LLP, Aidarbek Saparov stressed the huge potential of the region in cotton production and called on farmers to develop cotton farming, grow elite varieties of cotton using advanced technologies.
As part of the work on the creation of a cotton and textile cluster, including the cultivation of elite cotton varieties and deep processing of raw materials, a project has been implemented in the region that will increase cotton yields by 2.5 times.
The cost is 141 billion tenge. 4 thousand people will be provided with permanent jobs.
In general, the creation of 9 cotton clusters is envisaged for the development of cotton growing in the region by 2027. As a result of the full implementation of the project, dependence on cotton prices will be completely eliminated.
During the meeting with the peasants, which took place on the basis of the Zhaysan Agricultural Complex, Aidarbek Saparov noted the importance of switching to water-saving technologies and called for intensifying work in this direction.
The Minister answered all the questions of farmers, saying that next year it is planned to increase the volume of preferential financing of agriculture to 900 billion tenge, of which the first 100 billion tenge will be available in December this year. To achieve the target of updating agricultural machinery to 8-10% per year, it is planned to allocate at least 200 billion tenge for leasing agricultural machinery.
At the meeting, suggestions were also made by the peasants, who were taken under control.
Following the trip, the minister gave a number of instructions aimed at further improving the infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex of the Turkestan region.
