As part of a working trip to Kazan, the delegation of the Abai region under the leadership of Akim Nurlan Urankhaev visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. This organization, founded in 1992, has been playing an important role in supporting and developing the business environment of the region for more than two decades.
Thus, a round table was held with the participation of the official delegation of the Abai region of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the business circles of the Republic of Tatarstan. Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, Chairman of the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan" Shamil Ageev made welcoming speeches.
During the round table, the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Development Rustem Voroshilov and the head of the Department of Agriculture Yertai Kuanbayev presented reports and presented indicators of the investment potential of the Abai region.
"The Abai region is one of the youngest regions of Kazakhstan, known for the mining industry and tourist sites, including Lake Alakol. The region also has a strong transit potential and is actively developing infrastructure, including the Ayagoz–Tachen railway project. The industrial zone "Ondiris" with full infrastructure is available for industrial investors. The support of the akimat provides a comfortable environment for business. We are confident that our cooperation will lead to mutually beneficial development," Rustem Voroshilov said.
In the Abai region, products worth 432.9 billion tenge were produced, which is 5.7% of the total volume. The region holds a leading position in animal husbandry and plans four agro-industrial projects worth 75.1 billion tenge, 768 jobs have been created. Among them are complexes for meat processing, production of sunflower oil and compound feeds. On the basis of rich stocks of wool and hides, it is planned to build a gelatin production plant.
The delegation of the Abai region exchanged experiences with colleagues from Tatarstan, discussing in the B2B format issues of entrepreneurship development, expert activity and infrastructure. The visit helped to strengthen ties between the regions and opened up new prospects for interaction and cooperation.
