As part of the working trip, Vice Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kegen Tursynbayev visited flood-prone areas of the East Kazakhstan region. The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the state of hydraulic structures and assess the region's preparedness for the flood period.
"The flood season is a time when it is important to prepare in advance for possible emergencies. We pay special attention to the condition of hydraulic engineering facilities and actively work with local authorities to minimize the risks of flooding and ensure the safety of residents of the region," Kegen Tursynbayev said.
In addition, the Vice Minister met with the akims of local settlements, where he discussed measures to prevent floods. He also visited the heating stations open for the winter along the transport routes of the region and assessed their working conditions. At the end of the trip, Kegen Tursynbayev gave a number of instructions to improve the operational response to emergencies and set tasks to further strengthen the system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations in the region.
