Minister of Tourism and Sports Erbol Myrzabosynov visited the next day of the World Championship in sports and combat sambo among adults, held at the capital's Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. The head of the department took part in the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners.

On this day, Kazakhstani athletes pleased the fans with their bright achievements. In the weight category up to 64 kg, Yesentai Imankhanov demonstrated a high level of skill, defeating the representative of Uzbekistan Sardor Olimzhonov and winning the world champion title in the last seconds of the match. Guldana Almukhanbetova (54 kg) and Elaman Koishybayev (88 kg) brought silver awards to Kazakhstan. It is noteworthy that in 2023, at the World Championships in Yerevan, Elaman also won a silver medal.

470 athletes from 80 countries of the world participate in the prestigious tournament, which is being held in Kazakhstan for the second time. The honor of our country is defended by 28 athletes at the competitions.

The SAMBO World Championship will last until November 10. The tournament will feature 31 sets of medals in various weight categories.
