On Saturday, November 9, Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai met with Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation Kunsulu Zakarya. The main purpose of the meeting is the scientific solution of the socio–economic problems of the region and the strengthening of mutual cooperation in the development of joint projects.
During the meeting, Nurdaulet Kilybai focused on the work aimed at supporting scientific projects in the Mangystau region. The Regional Scientific Council was established in June 2023, it consisted of about 30 specialists — heads of large enterprises, local professors, environmentalists and representatives of the IT sector. In the future, the Council intends to conduct scientific research to solve the current problems of the region in cooperation with the international scientific community.

At the meeting, Akim of the region Nurdaulet Kilybai noted that he was ready to support all initiatives aimed at scientific cooperation.
- Investments in science are investments in the future. Our goal is to increase the economic and environmental potential of Mangystau by solving the urgent problems of the region using scientific methods and the introduction of new technologies. For our part, we are ready to support all initiatives aimed at scientific cooperation," said Nurdaulet Kilybai.
It should be noted that during her visit to the Mangystau region, Kunsulu Zakaria got acquainted with the activities of the innovative physics and mathematics lyceum "Gasyr", met with students and staff of the lyceum.
