A lot of precipitation fell in the capital overnight. Municipal services of the city continue to work in an enhanced round-the-clock mode in several shifts. Snow removal works are carried out smoothly, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
Today, more than 1,200 units of special equipment and over 2,400 road workers are involved in snow removal.
Over the past night, from November 9 to 10, 2,400 cubic meters of snow were removed from the city, this is 188 flights of heavy trucks.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow - squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
Due to extremely unfavorable weather conditions, the Mayor's Office of Astana asks citizens and guests of the capital to be extremely attentive and careful when moving on the streets in order to avoid accidents.
